Actua delivers a continuum of programs that build the skills and confidence that youth across Canada need to succeed in today’s digital economy. Having significantly evolved its programming, partnerships, and team throughout the past few years – and
as the competitive landscape trends upwards – Actua is committed to remaining relevant and top-of-mind within the STEM space. As such, the creation of an updated brand and brand strategy was required.

Mobilizing bright, vibrant colours and a series of energetic and intriguing patterns, Actua’s revitalized brand identity puts a modern twist on the organization’s legacy logo. The brand story – in alignment with the recommendations of stakeholders – speaks to breaking down the barriers associated with STEM learning to increase equitable experiences for all, while a brand positioning statement discusses mitigating imbalances within the Canadian innovation ecosystem.

Designed and developed on WordPress, Actua’s bilingual website is both accessible and responsive — prioritizing the user’s experience above all else. It plays host to a range of features, including an interactive map of network members, fillable forms, social media integration, and donation capability.
The site’s content is also strategically organized around Actua’s impact and programs for equity-seeking groups, enticing audiences into Actua’s story. Together with a bank of filterable resources and news and views, the website is a highly functional and aesthetically pleasing experience for educators, industry partners, and parents alike.
